Chichi (お 乳様 Ochichi Sama in the original) is a noblewoman from the second episode. A little boy ran into her bosom and she tried to strike him down, but was stopped by Chifusa.
Appearance[]
Chichi is a relatively tall, glamorous, and proud-looking woman with a noticeably fair complexion, long black hair, green eyes, rouge-covered lips and large breasts.
She is only seen wearing a magenta kimono emblazoned with yellow flowers and tailored to have a deep cleavage. She wears a dark obi wrapped around her waist, wooden clogs and carries a red wagasa (oil-paper umbrella). She also has two hairpins as part of her hairdress style.
Personality[]
Chichi portrays a stereotypical representation of the royal or high class people in the series, she cherishes her own breasts so much that she never openly flashes them to anybody due to how much she values them, but prefers to only show her ample cleavage to show off their potential.
She is rude and contemptuous towards the commoners who, in her eyes, disrespected her, while basking in the admiration of those around her. While she looks vain and composed, she's quick to anger and will use violence, an act that Chifusa is quick to point out.
Again, in spite of her attitude and class, she's left flustered and amazed at the sight of Okami's shameless public exposure and is quick to leave in a jealous huff when it's become clear that the crowd's attention had been taken away from her.
In the intro, she's shown to be willing to give money to the poor, albeit that donation being rather miserable.
Plot[]
Assassin! Breasts Illusion[]
In a time and place where breasts are a status symbol, Chichi took pride in her magnificent bosom which helped give her high status. Chichi is first shown to be visibly displeased when she has an encounter with a young boy in the market, especially at him getting filth on her "precious breasts". When he insults by calling her "udder tits", out of anger, she gets offended and attempts to hit him with her wagasa to put him in his place, but Chifusa intercepts. The two gets into a squabble, albeit before things can escalate further a civilian woman intervenes and reveals her breasts to the public, insisting they stand down on account of their breasts. Chichi is visibly surprised and flustered at the display before she leaves insisting that won't forget about what had transpired.
Trivia[]
- Chichi is voiced by Mayu Isshiki, who is known for voicing Azukina from Fresh Pretty Cure! Born in December of 1980, Mayu was around 30 years old when voicing Chichi.
- Her name itself, Chichi, means 'milk' or 'udder' in Japanese, and is slang for 'breasts' in some European, North American and South American countries.
- Given her appearance and the size of her breasts, Chichi is arguably the third largest woman in the series.She appears to be barely surpassed by Kagefusa and Manyuu, while being bigger than Toyo.
- Chichi in the manga only had a brief appearence in one chapter (which played out exactly like the anime episode). The animated series had her appearing during the opening title and during each introduction as well.
- Despite her swearing revenge, Chichi and Chifusa's path never cross again, because Chichi is not a wanderer like Chifusa is.
- In the anime Chichi, Toyo and Ouka Sayama are the only three women to actually wear lipstick. Coincidentally, all three could be considered antagonistic. (though, in Chichi and Toyo's case, are only antiheroines).
